Food Storage
Well...I can't say that we have been great at keeping our food storage going. But with the way things are going...every day that I go shopping I now buy one thing to add to our food storage. We feel that we should become well prepared I just hope we are not too late. If things become bad...I don't want to hear my kids cry themselves to sleep because they are hungry. I can honesty say that I am scared.

Nine years
Jessica just turned nine. Half way to 18! No I am not waiting for the day she moves out. Just the opposite. How do the years keep flying by? Jessica had a great day!
We have been so busy. The kids are in school, soccer, and art. Not to mention all of the projects around the house. We did take a break from it all to spend the day at Lagoon. We had so much fun. The girls are big enough to go on most of the big rides. They even rode Wicked! Andrew loved all the plane rides, and Quinci just had fun watching.
One more exciting event....Jessica now has glasses!

All boy
So yesterday, I was getting ready to leave the house. I was looking for my cell phone all over the house. I found my cell phone with Andrew, who was already out in the car. I went back into the house to continue getting ready. Yes, I know I should have brought him with me. I was in the house getting everything ready to leave when.... I heard the most terrible thing.... the car started. That is correct. Andrew had my keys and started the car. When asked where he thought he was going Andrew said, "to Dalton's". In the end Andrew was in trouble, and I had a slight heart attack. My son thinks he can drive to his friends house at three years of age. What is he going to attempt when he is sixteen? Andrew is in the wonderful stage of superhero's, cars, and jumping off of anything above ground. There is a reason I only have one boy.

Parenting
Okay, now I am going to vent. Yesterday we went to the mall. My sister came with me and the kids. We took turns playing with the kids at a play area. While I was watching the kids play a little boy started to be a little aggressive. I didn't say anything at first. I just watched. Andrew started to climb up this little tree house when the boy started pushing him. I stood up and started walking over just as he pushed Andrew completely off and on his back. No parents said a word. So I did. I said in my mean mom voice "DON'T PUSH HIM". That is when the mom come over and said in her nice sweet voice, "you need to play nice.". She them kept telling her son not to play with Andrew. As if it were his fault. After we left I found out that the little boy was pushing and kicking most of the kids that were there playing, and that the mom told the other parents that her son just gets frustrated. When did it get to be alright for kids to act like this. Too many parents refuse to tell their kids "no". I know I am not the only one who feels like there are a lot of kids being raised to be complete and utter brats!

Random Photos
This is one of my favorite photos. Heidi, Andrew and Jessica in the Sacred Grove. It was a wonderful day. We were all by our selves. It was so quiet. The kids just walked around, looking for sticks, and rocks.
So I thought I would let you in on some of our day to day stuff... like Quinci eating cake on her birthday. Oh how would it be if we all could eat cake like this?
This one is the best. Don't you love it?! We went on a vacation to New York. We stopped at an Amish Dinner. This was the stop sign leaving the parking lot.
This was Andrew with crazy hair.Monday, August 11, 2008
We have been busy this summer. The kids all helped me make some blankets for them. They are a huge hit. The kids use them
for everything.

We went on a long hike. The kids were troopers. These are the pictures of them while resting.
Jessica and Heidi are back in school. Jessica is in third and Heidi is in first. So far so good. They both love their teachers. We have been lucky. We have always had great teachers.
Quinci is now walking!! She decided to take her time walking, but now loves it. I love it!

My family
Oh a day in the life of Jennifer.... Right now we are redoing our back yard. We're talking grass ripped up, holes dug, and dirt piles the size of small islands. Man sounds like a busy summer.....maybe in August we'll have the backyard finished to enjoy part of the summer. We also adopted a little boy named Oliver. He is very furry and black with a little white on his tummy. I just hope Slippers will become friends with him.
Jessica and Heidi are out of school for the summer. They will return on the 28th of July. I know, I know how did we luck out? Well, it is the wonderful year round stuff.
William and I just celebrated out 12th anniversary. For the grand day William took me to the Tim McGraw concert. Lots of fun. Lots of weird people.
