He thinks he is so big.

Yesterday I was enjoying a nice quiet day...Quinci was napping, girls were at school, and Andrew was at a friends house. While I was enjoying my quiet...someone knocked at my door. It was my neighbor asking me if Andrew was walking down the sidewalk. I told him that it couldn't be Andrew because he was at a friends house, but I looked anyway. It was of course my little guy. When I asked Andrew why he walked home he replied "I need my swim shorts." A minute later the mom of the friend came driving up frantic that she couldn't find Andrew. She had looked all over the place for him. He totally did not understand that it was wrong to walk home. The friends house is about .5 miles or more away and they live on a busy street. I wouldn't let my oldest walk there on her own. He thinks he is so big.

I want to get off work early...

Today has been one of those days when I wish I would have stayed in bed! I woke up at 5:35 so that I could be at the gym by 5:45. After the gym I come home, got ready, and then got the girls off to school. After the girls left for school, I got the other two ready to go to a PTA meeting with me. We arrived right on time. My wonderful children ran all over the place, spilling juice, and eating chocolate doughnuts. When the meeting was finally over, I headed over to the store to buy some chicken. The chicken is on sale right now, so I had to stock up. It only comes in a 40 pound box. When I got home, I discovered I had to separate the chicken, so it wouldn't freeze into a giant 40 pound blob. After the great fun of dealing with raw chicken and all the juice...I started to clean up. Andrew decided he needed something to drink. And of course he couldn't wait for me to get it. That's right he decided to get it himself, and in the process he made the pickle jar, the water pitcher, and the mayo fall to the ground. Pickle juice, water, and glass went everywhere! So now I had chicken juice, pickle juice, glass, and water to clean up. While I am cleaning it all up Quinci is crying because I wont let her in the kitchen. And this all happens before lunch! I want to get off work early!

Take that sweet baby and run!!

So I have to admit I have been trying to loose some weight. I have been going to the gym five days a week, and watching what I am eating. Lately all I have been craving is cake. William and I went out to eat a couple of weeks ago, and I thought that I could splurge a little and have some cake, but the waitress didn't give us a chance to order any. I thought it was for the best so we paid and left. Yesterday we went out again, and I thought this time I would eat my cake. So we sat down to a nice pleasant dinner (we only had Quinci with us, the others were with my brother). The waitress was so nice. She kept telling us that Quinci was so cute, she even brought Quinci some soup and crackers. After we ate our dinner the waitress asked if we wanted desert. I told her a very happy yes. She told us it was on its way. Soon after she left she came back. She bent down and told us "I don't want to alarm you but our restaurant is on fire, SO TAKE THAT SWEET BABY AND RUN!!" William said, "but we haven't paid yet." The waitress with tears in her eyes then said, "don't worry about it just get the baby out, run. If you want to come back tomorrow you can have your cake." So we left without cake. That's right people, the universe is so against me having cake that the restaurant started on fire!

catch up

So it has been a while since I last posted anything. We have been busy the last couple of months. We had Halloween, Thanksgiving, Heidi's birthday, and Christmas. we were able to go to Temple Square with our neice Madison. Quinci turned 18 months in November so now she is in nursery. Quinci is still small, but she wont let anyone push her around. She is determined to do things by herself and on her own time.

We look forward to the new year and all that we will be able to do and learn.
